Perth wins prestigious Prince of Wales Prize for Heritage Preservation

Price of Wales Prize On the fifth anniversary of the awarding of the prestigious Prince of Wales Prize, the Heritage Canada Foundation is proud to announce its 2004 recipient, the Town of Perth, Ontario. Established in 1999 under the patronage of His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales, this prize honours a municipal government for exemplary commitment to the preservation of its built heritage. Previous recipients include Markham, Ontario, Victoria, British Columbia, Saint John, New Brunswick and Québec City. Read the entire press release.

Perth comes up for recognition from many quarters. TV Ontario declared, "Perth is the Prettiest Town in Ontario" and Chatelaine Magazine voted Perth Ontario to be "The Best Place in Canada to Retire."
